I was able to support students in the English Composition class at UMass Boston. For some, this was their first college class ever and I'm very proud that most passed and earned college credit.Â
These students made gains in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking English. Most moved up one ELD level. Students with orange bars only were newcomers and had no prior test scores.
This is the growth of my current 7th and 8th grade ESL class. They are reading and writing every day and their strong test scores confirm the work they have been doing.
