Ms. Carr is the Ellis School Librarian. She founded the current Ellis School Library in September 2022, though the school did have a library in its history. It is one of the greatest joys of Ms. Carr's life to get just the right book into the hands of her students, and she is passionate about the fact that ALL students can become strong readers with the right support and the right book. Ask her about her latest book club read or her cats, Appa and Momo!
Curious about what a school librarian does during the day? As a former classroom teacher herself, Ms. Carr wasn't entirely sure until she started the job!
Here is an incomplete list of some of the things I do as a School Librarian throughout the day/week/month/year, but you can check out this list for an even more comprehensive overview compiled by Massachusetts School Librarians):

collection development (searching for the best books to add to our library!)
conducting book talks and class visits for book check outs
