Last night all student passwords were reset by BPS. Students are able to reset their passwords on their own following these options:
On August 20, 2025, an email containing temporary password information was sent to all families and guardians via ParentSquare. Students can use the instructions in that email to reset their password in Clever: https://clever.com/in/bostonpublic
They should not share this email with anyone.
Students, families, and staff can call 617-516-1991 from Monday to Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM. This call center will be open from August 20 to September 16, 2025 to assist staff, students, and families with changing student passwords. As a security measure, students will be asked questions to verify their identity. The call center will provide a temporary password to login to Clever, then students must immediately reset their passwords in Clever.
Hope that you and your family are having a great summer! Believe it or not, the start of school is coming soon! We can't wait to welcome your student back to our community.

Start of School
We are excited to welcome your student back on Thursday, September 4th at 7:10am. School doors open at 7am at the Williams Street Entrance for students in grades 9-12 and McBride Street for students in grades 7 & 8.
Getting to School
Student T-Passes will continue to be honored by the MBTA on the first day of school. Students will receive their T-Passes at school on their first day. Students with yellow school bus transportation will receive a mailing in the next week with specific information about your bus stop and time.
Yondr @ High School
English High School continues to be a cell-phone free environment for students. We had great success with supporting our students in staying focused on their learning and building their sense of community last year with our use of Yondr across grades 9-12. We are grateful for the support our families provided in making this policy work.
Students in grades 9-12 will use continue to use the Yondr system again this year: phones, earpods, smartwatches must be placed in student's individual Yondr pouch. Students will receive their Yondr pouch on their first day of school and will be required to use it for the entire school day. IPADs and Macbooks are not allowed, as students use their features to continue to access their phones and messages, and will also be collected at the door for return at the end of the day for any students who bring them in.
Students who break, damage, or lose their Yondr pouch will be required to pay a $30 replacement fee to get a new Yondr. Until they have their new Yondr, they must place their phone in an envelope to be locked in the main office until the end of the day until they have paid the replacement fee and a new Yondr has arrived. Returning students are familiar with this process.
As was the case last year, if you need to reach your student for any reason during the school day please call 617-635-8979 and we will ensure that you are able to speak with your student.
Congratulations to all of our students who worked this summer to complete summer coursework.
The BPS Summer School Graduation is Thursday, August 21st at 6pm at the Boston Convention Center. We are excited to celebrate our August Graduates!
Many supplies can be purchased after the start of the year, when your student's individual teachers share their requirements. Please check back to see updates to these lists the week of August 26th when our teachers return for Professional Development sessions.
All students who are interested in playing any sports must follow these steps and register in Aspen.
Students must also have a valid physical that will last for the whole season.
Parents and guardians will also have to complete a consent form.
Students are NOT ABLE TO TRYOUT or PRACTICE until they have completed the registration process and provided a valid physical to be reviewed by BPS Medical Staff.

SY24/25 M7 MBTA passes are valid through the end of August, meaning that students’ existing M7 MBTA passes will continue to work throughout the summer until August 31st, including for graduating seniors.
If a student misplaces a pass during the summer months and needs a replacement pass, the student must have a parent or guardian call the Transportation Department at 617-635-9520 and make an appointment to pick up a replacement pass while supplies last. Parents must bring a valid ID in order to sign out a replacement M7 pass for a student.
There is no t pass replacement at English High School only through the Transportation Department.
Students will be allowed to use these passes to arrive to school on the first day and will be given a new T pass on their first day of school.
