BPS Moves Together follows the Comprehensive School Physical Activity Program (CSPAP) Framework, developed by the Center for Disease Control in collaboration with SHAPE America.
The CSPAP model highlights that “schools play a vital role in ensuring children and adolescents…meet the nationally-recommended 60 minutes of physical activity each day, and develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to be physically active for a lifetime.” Students spend at least half of their waking hours in school, and BPS Moves Together aims to provide at least half of those daily 60 minutes during the school day.
