SEED PROJECT CREW LEADERS
We seek individuals with a strong desire for and full investment in maintaining excellence in all aspects of our summer youth program, Seed Crew. We hold high expectations for our youth and, in order to foster their potential, we require our Crew Leaders to be strong role models. Ideal candidates possess enthusiasm for working with youth, a commitment to The Food Project’s mission, a strong work ethic, and a good sense of humor. While our organization is deeply committed to building a sustainable food system, we do not require Crew Leader candidates to be well-versed in agriculture or food production systems. We do require candidates to have some workshop facilitation experience. We seek candidates who are open to learning and engaging with The Food Project’s mission. The Food Project strives to create and support culturally diverse leader teams and candidates from all backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
The rate of pay is $18.00 per hour

BOSTON POLICE CADET PROGRAM
The Boston Police Cadet Program is an on-the-job training program for Boston's youth seeking a career in law enforcement. The Program is a minimum of a two-year commitment. Cadets rotate throughout the Department in various assignments and shifts, including Headquarters, District Stations, and other specialized units throughout the Department.
Applicants must meet all of the itemized criteria below in order to be eligible:
Be between 18 and 25 years of age by January 2023
Reside in the City of Boston and have maintained consecutive residency for the last 5 years (Jan. 31, 2018 - present)
Be a high school graduate or possess an equivalency certificate by December 31, 2022
Possess an active, valid Massachusetts Driver License by December 31, 2022. A good driving record is preferred.
Meet the same physical fitness standards required of Boston Police recruits
Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job
Be a U.S. Citizen / Naturalized U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident

Minimum Entrance Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old at time of application; and may not be more than 25 years old on the starting date of the Fire Cadet Class
Must be a resident of the City of Boston and have maintained 3 years of residency within the City of Boston leading up to the application (March
High School Diploma or high school equivalency certificate recognized by the Massachusetts Department of Education
Physically able to perform training, job duties, and tasks as a Fire Cadet
Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver license within six months prior of date of the hire, and maintain a valid driver’s license throughout employment with the department (Responsible driving record will be taken into consideration)
Must successfully pass a background investigation including criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
United States citizenship or must have permanent resident status.
Willingness and aptitude to learn the skills necessary to communicate effectively with a diverse population, in person and via telephone.
Willingness and aptitude to learn excellent customer-service skills.
Ability to take direction from supervisors ∙ Possess good moral character exhibiting honesty, responsibility, and trustworthiness with a positive attitude.
Ability to complete the required medical, educational, and training programs.
Ability to communicate clearly.
Ability to complete the required strength and conditioning physical fitness programs.
Ability to lift/carry 50lbs as an exercise.
Department will have a preference for candidates with fluency in a second language.
