DO YOU WANT TO FEEL EMPOWERED TO IMPROVE YOUR WORK?
Bostonia Academy offers City of Boston employees training and coaching around process improvement tools and change management methodologies. Trainings focus on identifying areas of improvement in a process and eliminating problematic steps without procuring new staff or technology. We focus on solutions that are quick-wins and have low barriers for implementation.
After training, trainees have the opportunity to work with the Performance Coaches on a process improvement project. Once the project starts to get implemented, the trainee can get officially certified in the training.

Gold Training is a two day in-depth training in process improvement tools and change management methods. The first part of the training takes place over two and a half consecutive days where participants are taught the tools and strategies of process improvement. The second part, Presentation Day, occurs for half a day one month later, and features each trainee presenting a high-level five-minute presentation on their process improvement project.
Gold Training participants are expected to come to training with a process improvement project in mind and will get working time in class to apply the tools they learn directly to their project. At the end of training, each participant is assigned a Performance Coach who will guide them through their project and provide assistance before Presentation Day.
The first part of Gold Training is held from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. The second part, which is a month later, is held on a Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. All parts take place in the Civic Pavilion outside of City Hall Plaza unless noted otherwise.
