I would like to welcome you all to fourth grade! I am very excited to be able to present learning to your child in a creative and fun way this year. I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching his or her full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead and I am happy to begin this journey with each and every child this school year.

My name is Kristen Vercher, I am a graduate of Louisiana State University – Shreveport, which is where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree. This will be my first year teaching fourth grade at Waller Elementary and I am so excited to be a part of the great team we have this year. I have one son, Landen, who will also be joining me at Waller, and he will be starting third grade. When I’m not at school, I am almost always outdoors, usually on the lake or exploring a new place with my friends and family. I love nature and I love learning! I cannot wait to learn and grow alongside all of the bright and beautiful faces I am about to meet! I am honored to get to be apart of your child’s educational journey and I promise to always let my passion for teaching shine this school year!

I want you to know that my classroom door is always open for any questions or concerns. I have opened many means of communication this year with my parents, so please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I cant wait to make the 2018-2019 school year, the best year yet!
