Language

Language

Language is the understanding and use of words or symbols to convey a message. There are five subsystems to language: phonology (the sounds of your language), semantics (vocabulary), syntax (word order), morphology (grammar) and pragmatics (the appropriate use of language, including social skills). A child with a language disorder may be weak in one or more of these subsystems.
