These students read Historical Fiction novels and earned at least 5 AR points with 80% accuracy or higher on their tests.
They celebrated by earning a fun PEN of their choice and playing BINGO for prizes.
They also enjoyed cupcakes.

Our September Genre of the Month readers kicked off the morning with a cupcake celebration! These Buccaneers crushed their Dystopian AR tests, earning shiny badges and certificates for their hard work.

Reading Achievement is not a new feat for 7th Grader, Esmee Bergland! She actually was awarded by the public library for reading more than 1,000 books before Kindergarten!
Today, HMS Honors her for reading more than 1 Million Words this first month of school (1,697,041 to be exact)! She has read and passed AR points for 15 books during the month of August earning herself 206 Accelerated Reader points and boosting her team to first place! No Surprise there!
