Moriah Hicks is a native of El Dorado, Arkansas. She’s a graduate of the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, where she received a Bachelor’s in Theatre-minoring in Mass Communications. Formerly represented by the Blue Talent Group Agency, Moriah has auditioned for several film and television shows. Her love of theatre began as an elementary student, where she was cast as Shere Khan the Tiger in the Jungle Book production. Since her introduction to the stage, Moriah has been in a plethora of productions such as: Fences, Blues in the Night, Home, Visiting Dr. Greene, Livin’ Fat, How I Learned to Drive, Suessical the Musical, and the Award-winning Hip Hop Project: Insight to a generation, which ran at the Kennedy Center in D.C. Moriah is an award-winning playwright, actor and director. She is also known for her spoken-word poetry which she has performed nationally, as well as Chicago’s Louder Than a Bomb Poetry Slam, where she was a featured poet. Moriah is currently the TAPS-Theatre teacher for Bossier Elementary, Bossier High, Plantation Park, Benton Elementary, and Benton Intermediate School.
Jamie Kiihnl grew up on the stage performing with Peter Pan Players. She has a degree in Theatre from Louisiana Tech University. After graduating from college, she moved to Los Angeles, where she worked on MTV film and television pilots. She also taught acting courses at “A Cast of Kids”, a children’s acting company in Studio City. When Hurricane Katrina moved film production to North Louisiana, Jamie moved “home” to work as a casting director. She has worked on over twenty film and television projects for studios such as Twentieth Century Fox, Millenium Films, Lionsgate and The SciFi Channel. She began teaching in the Talented Arts Program in 2016 and currently teaches at Parkway and Airline High School as well as Bellaire Elementary School.
Meagan McMillan is excited to teach in the Talented Arts Program for Theatre. She was a student of the program when she was in high school, and is humbled to come back to the place that inspired her to pursue theatre. Meagan is a native of Bossier Parish where she went to school at Waller Elementary, Haughton Middle, and Haughton High. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an emphasis in Performance at Louisiana Tech University. Meagan specialized in costumes and stage combat while at Louisiana Tech, but has now worked with sound, lighting, and directing during her time teaching Talented Theatre. She was in color guard in the Haughton High’s Big Red Buccaneer Band and Louisiana Tech Band of Pride, and still helps out with the Big Red Buccaneer Band! Meagan is excited and ready to work with her students, make new memories, and put on amazing moments!
Jennifer Moreland is beginning her 19th year teaching in Bossier Parish Jennifer is a native of Winnfield, Louisiana where she grew up singing, dancing and performing with both her church and high school. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Louisiana Tech University with a concentration in Costume/Theatre Design. She has performed with such groups as Ruston Community Theatre and Joe Jefferson Players (located in Mobile, AL) as well as working on costume designs for Louisiana Film Prize projects and The Simple Church. She recently made her film acting debut in MOMento, a Louisiana Film Prize Top 20 film. She also served as the production coordinator for the film. She had the opportunity to work as a production assistant for shows such as Sinbad: A Night of Laughter, For King and Country, Lincoln Brewster and The James Burton Festival. Most recently her costumes graced the stage for the Talented Arts Program production of Louisiana Saturday Night, where she also was the co-arthur and co-director, and Quest through the Landscape. She also wrote,and designed the production of Bird and Squirrel; On Fire for the i3 second grade field trip. Jennifer is excited for the upcoming year and looking forward to serving the students at Bellaire Elementary School, Elm Grove Elementary School, Elm Grove Middle School, and Parkway High School.
Jeremy Ward is the co-lead teacher for Talented Theatre. He is going into his 14th year with TAP. Covering Cope, Benton High, Plain Dealing, and Benton Elementary School. He is originally from Lake Providence, La. He relocated to Vicksburg, Mississippi. While in high school, his love for the performing arts were sparked at Faith Christian Center by Bobbie Heads. He is a 2009 theatre graduate of Jackson State University. Jeremy is an actor, director, writer and drama teacher with the Bossier Parish Talented Arts Program. He has been in many plays including : Fences, Ceremonies in Dark Old Men, One Monkey Don't Stop No Show, Zooman and the Sign, The Marker, Gee's Bend, Michael A. King, To Kill a Mockingbird and many other plays. He also has appeared in several movies and commercials. He has written and directed multiple plays for the Parish including: Quest Through the Landscape, A Place for Girls, and The Rules to Successful Dating. He also teaches workshops and personal acting classes.
