Tiger Troops is a specialized club at Benton Elementary that dedicates itself to building community for our military kids. Through monthly meetings, special projects, and intentional time together, we aim to help our military students build lasting relationships within the community for whatever amount of time we are able to host them!

Each month our students meet to complete activities and projects that help build their sense of ownership in our community and school. For October and November, students have been working on a presentation for the Veteran's Day assembly and breakfast that our troop hosts, as well as, creating cards for service members.

Each year, Tiger Troops hosts a Veteran's Day breakfast and parade. Students invite the veteran's in their lives to come to the school to eat breakfast with them. During the breakfast, Tiger Troops performs a patriotic song and the Benton Middle School band director plays the National Anthem. Then, the entire school lines the hallways as veteran's parade by!
