Greetings Band Family! Before you check results, please review the following information:
DRUM MAJORS
ALL Drum Major candidates did an excellent job! It is important to note that Drum Majors are selected by a panel of judges (Band Directors) from outside Airline High School. While you may agree or disagree with the results, these students have earned their positions and will go through training at leadership camps this summer to be positive, encouraging, and empowering leaders for the entire band!
LEADERSHIP
Leadership includes drum majors, field commander, all section leaders, captains, co-captains, lieutenants, and the managers of each area (Uniform, Loading Crew, Library). Thank you all for your professionalism in the interviews. Please understand that if you were not selected, it does not mean you did not do a good job. We had to choose the strongest candidates based on interview, history, and ability.
SOCIAL MEDIA
PLEASE REFRAIN FROM POSTING ANY NEGATIVE COMMENTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA! Nothing positive will come of it and will likely lead to a conference with you and your parents. Remember, we are all in this together and our ultimate goal is to provide opportunities for high quality performances , and individual growth within the organization. We are ambassadors for Airline High School and the Bossier Parish school system and must conduct ourselves accordingly.
Remember, your audition for future leadership/staff positions begins the day you become a member of the Airline Viking Vanguard Band!
