Note: Unless otherwise specified, ALL events below are intended for registered members of SU72 (Hillsborough) ONLY.
If you have not yet re-registered for the 2025-26 membership year, please do this quickly. Registration is completed via the myGS system.
SERVICE April - Oct: Pollinator Garden: SU72 Community Service Award eligible - Volunteers commit to tend to the Pollinator Garden at the Municipal Complex *weekly* for the entire month. See flyer for details.
FALL PRODUCT: Nuts/Magazines sales will start on 9/17 and end on 10/26. Additional information will be coming over the next few weeks directly from our Fall Product team (nuts@borogirlscouts.org.) Please make sure you have re-registered as the system will be loaded on 9/3. It will be much easier for your Troop Leader/Nut Manager if you are registered/re-registered no later than Sept 2.
SERVICE Pink Pumpkin Painting - (All Levels) Fri Oct 17 (Sessions 4:30 - 5:00 PM / 5:30 - 6 PM) - Celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness month by painting pink pumpkins, making crafts, and donating gift bags to chemo patients. All levels are welcome to donate a chemo bag and decorate the event. This event is $ per girl to cover supplies, including a craft to take home. Electronic payment is required to guarantee your spot. We are also looking for C/S/A girls to volunteer as well which can be submitted on the registration form. IF SPOTS FILL UP, TROOPS MAY DONATE CHEMO BAGS ON THEIR OWN! SERVICE Norz Party (C/S/A) Thur Oct 23 3:30 - 6:00 PM: Norz Farm is looking for Girl Scouts to volunteer at various stations during their annual Halloween event. ADULT RATIOS ARE REQUIRED! Please sign up here.
SERVICE Amsterdam Elementary School Trunk or Treat - Fri Oct 24 5 - 8 PM (5th grade and older) - AES is looking for girls to help at their craft and tattoo stations. ADULT RATIOS ARE REQUIRED. Sign up here
SERVICE Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Parade (Juniors) Sat Oct 25 8:30-10:00 AM: Calling all Juniors! Hillsborough Parks & Rec needs a few Junior Girl Scouts to help judge the annual dog costume competition. ADULT RATIOS ARE REQUIRED! Please sign up here
SERVICE Hillsborough Trunk or Treat (C/S/A) Sat Oct 25 1:30-2:30 PM - Hillsborough Parks & Rec is also looking for C/S/A girls to assist at the annual Trunk or Treat event by handing out goody bags and collecting votes for "Best Trunk". ADULT RATIOS ARE REQUIRED! Please sign up here.
SERVICE Halloween Parades- Sat Oct 25 & Sun Oct 26 (D/B) Multiple Sessions - Looking for Daisies and Brownies to show off their Halloween costumes at our local senior facilities. Attached is a song book for troops that wish to sing along the parade route! Sign up here
2025 All for Fall - Investiture, Rededication, Bridging - Sunday October 26, 2025 from 2-4pm, Hillsborough Municipal Building. Join us for an annual Hillsborough Girl Scout tradition as we invest our new Girl Scouts and Leaders, rededicate ourselves to the Girl Scout Promise and Law, and bridge our girls as they move up in their Girl Scouting levels. We’ll also honor and celebrate our founder Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday with a service project and a dessert social! Register HERE by October 11th (form will close when capacity is reached). There is no cost for the event however we ask each troop to bring a contribution for the dessert social that you can sign up for on the registration form. Have Questions? Junior/Cadette/Senior/Ambassador - 20 spots 1:30-4:00 PM, moderate hike in Sourlands
National/Council Activities:
GSHNJ Calendar of Events including hikes, and other fun events
GSHNJ Clubs/Teams: Learn more about Council-run special interest groups/teams for Girl Scouts including Family Ramblers (for girls & their families), SheStormz Robotics Team, Astronomy Club, Media Girls, and the HNJGIRL Advisory Board. These clubs/teams are independent of individual troop activities.
