1) Please make sure all your girls have registered and have completed the annual permission slip.

2) Please make sure you have a Troop Cookie Manager assigned in MyGS. Each troop must have someone assigned the "troop cookie manager" role. This ensures they receive critical emails and will get timely access to SmartCookie. Adding a cookie manager can be done under MyGS. If you run into problems assigning the role, please contact membership at info@gshnj.org and they will help assign the role. If you have more than one troop cookie manager, you must designate a Primary Troop Cookie Manager.

3) ALL troop volunteers who are supervising girls at a booth, handling money, etc must be registered background checked members. Please encourage all your parents to register as adult members and select the "support volunteer" role.

3a) If you're already registered and still need a background check, or if your background check expired, use this request form and it will retrigger the background check within two business days. 

TIP: Check your SPAM/JUNK folders when looking for an Asurint background check email.

4) Effective October 2024, GSUSA is requiring ALL VOLUNTEERS [which includes Troop Cookie Managers etc] complete abuse prevention training. This requirement can be fulfilled by completing either of the following trainings in gsLearn: Mandated Reporter Training or GSUSA Girl Scouts Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Course. Training is valid for two years.
