This is going to be a phenomenal year! It is my pleasure to introduce myself as your child's gifted and talented teacher. I will be teaching all kindergarteners as well as all gifted & talented students in grades 1-5. The Smarties Box Challenge
All of the Gifted & Talented students participated in the "Smarties Box Challenge" to kick off the school year. This problem solving challenge required math and teamwork in order to estimate the number of individual Smarties candies in the box. Students had a variety of tools at their disposal and used many different strategies to arrive at their answers. Scroll on to see their guesses and the actual answer!
