Our program runs from Monday through Thursday every week, unless Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) is closed or otherwise noted. Here's a link to the OUSD calendar.
Important Tutor Etiquette
Last minute cancellations: it's ok -- things happen. Please let us know ASAP if you can't make it to a session. You can email us or shoot us a text. See contact info in the Important Contact Info Box above.
Sometimes, a tutor shows up for a session, but their student does not due to a last minute cancellation of their own. That's ok, too -- often that tutor can be a substitute tutor for the day, or we can find a way for you to help out around the classroom.
For more long term scheduling conflicts -- say you know you're going to be out of town the second week of February -- you can let us know ahead of time and we can reschedule with your student, or we can arrange for a substitute tutor.
As tutors, your flexibility and active communication are appreciated! We are a small staff running a dynamic program that is very important for our students. We appreciate your support and dedication. Thank you!
