With last week's lesson, you learned about plants needing light in order to grow. This week your STEM challenge is discover what temperature do seeds like. Remember you can use any type of seed including beans like Lima beans. They work best if you soak them overnight before putting them in soil.

Interdependent Relationships in Ecosystems - "Animals Have Needs"
Animals live in places that have the things they need. Animals need air, water, shelter, and food to survive. If there aren’t the things they need they won’t survive. Sometimes over long periods of time, the animal may adapt (change) or the animal may change the habitat.

Get an "animal"! You can draw a picture, cut out a picture from a magazine, print a picture, find a stuffed animal, plastic toy or use the real thing but your're going to need an "animal". Now think about the things your animal will need in order to survive. Gather these items and be as creative as you'd like. You can use Legos, Keva Blocks, building sets of various kinds, Tinker Toys, etc. Start building a model of a habitat for your animal. Can you think of ways humans might impact the animal's environment? Have fun!!!
