The Wind Ensemble is the premier ensemble of the BCHS Band Program.  Students must audition to be placed in this band and we encourage all of our students to make placement in this ensemble their goal.  The Wind Ensemble performs advanced high school music and focuses on strengthening fundamental and technical skills that will set them up for success in college music programs, if they choose to further their musical experience.

The Symphonic Band is an award winning band that is an intermediate level performance class. Students in the Symphonic Band have developed fluency in music reading and application on their instruments.  In the Symphonic Band, we focus on strengthening tone and technical skills to advance to the Wind Ensemble.

The Concert Band is the newest of the three band classes offered at BCHS! If you are coming from middle school band, this is the natural next-step from 8th grade. In the Concert Band, we focus on development of strong fundamental music reading and performance skills that will serve as the foundation for excellence moving forward in high school and beyond.

The Marching Band at BCHS brings the energy and fun to home football games!  Participation in this ensemble is required for all students enrolled in Symphonic Band or Wind Ensemble and is also open to any 8th grader who is ready for a challenge.  We believe that the Marching Band should strengthen the concert bands (Wind Ensemble/Symphonic Band), so we focus on the fundamentals everytime we rehearse!

The Jazz Band meets from 2:30-3:30 after school on Wednesdays.  In this ensemble, students learn various jazz styles (swing, rock, salsa, etc), improvisation techniques, and some jazz history.  The Jazz Band gets to travel more than the other ensembles because it's a smaller group and the music is very entertaining.

LOUD AND PROUD!  Any student who was in the marching band, or wants to be in the marching band the next year, is welcome to be a part of this HIGHLY energetic ensemble!  The Pep Band brings the noise and home court advantage to girls and boys basketball games.
