This is your one-stop-shop to access MTSS documents as needed throughout the school year. The comprehensive MTSS promotes whole-child education to ensure universal access, data-driven decision making, and stakeholder involvement promoting student success.
MTSS Academics is focused on district services for tiers 1, 2, and 3. It is based on state and district aligned standards and curriculum to ensure equitable access for all student in BCS. Data-driven guidance and protocols are also provided to help schools align data to determine growth and strong areas.
MTSS SEB is a holistic, whole-child model that includes PBIS, Attendance, Mental Health, and Social-emotional Learning (Non-cognitive) initiatives. We are breaking down silos to provide district and schoolwide inititatives that promote wraparound whole-child education for tiers 1, 2, and 3.
The Student Success Dashboard is a holistic view of the whole child including academic, behavior, attendance, and SEL data strengths and growth areas. Using this data, schools can proactively problem-solve by student, grade level, and schoolwide to ensure student growth and success.
Mrs. Heather Bushelman
Heather is currently serving 22 years in education, with sixteen as a school counselor and two years of state-level experience. She was honored to be the 2022 Kentucky School Counselor of the Year and serves as Past-President of the Kentucky School Counselor Association. In her time as an educator, she has overseen schoolwide initiatives within MTSS including social-emotional/behavior tier 1, 2, and 3, as well as collaborating and consulting through MTSS Academic problem-solving. Her national trainings have included topics such as trauma-informed practices, restorative practices, evidence-based behavioral interventions, MTSS schoolwide implementation, SEL-implementation with fidelity, and comprehensive school counseling programs.
