Welcome to 7th Grade English and High School Yearbook
About Me:
I was born and raised in Placerville, CA. I am a third generation teacher - my family has been working in the El Dorado County education realm for a handful of years. I am very excited to be working in the area I grew up in.
I received my B.A. in English with an emphasis in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University in Arizona. Throughout my education career, I have been lucky to have experience teaching inside of the classrooms and outside of the classroom in the Coastal Redwood Forest as an outdoor educator and challenge course guide.
I have called three states home - California, Massachusetts, and Arizona. I jokingly say California has the best landscape, Arizona has the best sunsets, and New England has the best history! I love to travel and enjoy what nature and people have to offer. I am a huge animal person and have three wonderful kitties and a wonderful partner to come home to!
When you can't find me in the classroom - I am usually quilting, taking photos, painting, riding horses, or hunting down the best book sale. I am a huge fan of Dungeons and Dragons, Disney, history, and wildflowers!

Contact me:
Email is my preferred method of communication. I will try to get back to students and parents within 24-48 hours. I will respond on normal school days and hours. My email can be found on my syllabus and also on the footer of this webpage.
I also use 5-Star and emails quite a bit to document as well as note things in the system for students and parents.
Students can also receive positive hand written notes home when they are truly hitting it out of the park with their learning or behavior.
