Degree Requirements

Cybersecurity Foundation (3 credits):

• CYBER 500 Introduction to Cybersecurity (3 credits)

Bridging Courses – take between 0 and 6 credits of the following:

• MATH 504 Number Theory (3 credits)

• MATH 572 Computational Statistics (3 credits)

Cybersecurity Knowledge Building – at least 4 of the following (12 credits):

• MATH 508 Advanced Asymmetric Cryptography and Cryptanalysis (3 credits)

• MATH 509 Symmetric Key Cryptography and Cryptanalysis (3 credits)

• MATH 510 Quantum and Post-Quantum Cryptography (3 credits)

• MATH/CS 667 Advanced Applied Cryptography (3 credits)

• ECE 650 Stochastic Signals and Systems (3 credits)

Cybersecurity Interdisciplinary Knowledge Building – take between 6 and 12 credits from the following types of courses:

• Graduate courses selected with advisor input and approved by the program coordinators

Cybersecurity Culminating Experience (3-6 credits) – complete 1 of the following:

• • CYBER 590 Practicum/Internship (3-6 credits) OR CYBER 591 Project (3-6 credits) OR CYBER 692 Cyber Capstone Course (3-6 credits)
