Make a strong introduction!
Introduce yourself first: name, hometown, year in school, major, your involvement, why you chose Boise State!
Ask where your visitors are from, what they are interested in studying, and what year in school they are!
Make sure to pay attention to what they say - you will want to highlight the things that they mention!
Continually ask if your group has any questions that you can answer or things that you can explain further!
Professional body language - it goes a long way!
Make eye contact!
Keep your hands out of your pockets
Focus on your personal experience as a Boise State student!
Facts and figures are great but they only go so far! Tell them your stories!
Why did you choose Boise State? What has been your favorite experience? What surprised you about college life?
Don't assume your group knows campus acronyms or college lingo
Tell them what you mean by: SILC, BRC, ILC, SOFO, SUB, REC, etc.
Explain what Study Abroad, Student Union, Testing Center, TAs/LAs, and RAs/RDs are!
Thank your group at the end of tour!
Let them know that they can meet with their specific Admissions Counselor for specific questions
Take out your QR Code for your group to scan!
Give restaurant suggestions or recommendations on what to see/do in Boise!
