Last Week

The Freshman went 3-0 in conference games this week and are off to a great start.

Boise (W 11-3)

Against Boise on Monday the Freshman used 13 hits and 6 walks to score 11 runs and defeat the Brave Freshman. Offensively Michael Alvarado and Luis Arredondo supplied most of the runs needed with 2 RBI and 4 RBI respectively. The offense also had 5 stolen bases in the contest and used the running game to really put the game out of reach with a 6 spot in the top of the 5th inning. Grayson Slack pitched 4 innings in the start and only allowed 1 hit through those 4 innings, while keeping the Brave off the board.

Nampa Game 1 (W 10-3)

In the morning game of the double header vs Nampa the Wolves cleaned up using 9 walks and 7 hits to outpace the offense of the Bulldogs. Shawn Barsness got the start and spanned 2 innings while not allowing a run during the time that he pitched. Offensively Alex Busche and Michael Alvarado each supplied two RBI while 9 different players scored runs for the Wolves offensively.

Nampa Game 2 (W 5-2)

The Wolves struggled a little more to cash in with runners on base in the second leg of the double header, as they were only able to score 5 runs despite 10 hits and 3 walks supplied by the offense. Jack Sell was a terror for the Bulldogs going 4-4 in the game and always being on base. 5 different Wolves contributed to the offense by driving in a run, and Nick Settlemeyer hit the only extra base hit in the contest with a double in the 3rd inning. On the mound, Grayson Slack threw 5 IP and struck out 11 and only allowing 1 H, stymying the Bulldog hitters all game.
