Advanced Opportunities
** FALL 2021 Announcement: Students who are taking concurrent credit or online classes must do the following:
1) Sign up for the course through the providing college/universty/online program. Teachers will provide instructions for signing up for concurrent credits associated with their class. This process is different for each providing institution the student will be taking classes with. Some students may need to complete this process for two or three separate institutions. See list below for the different providing institutions we work with.
2) Request funds for each class through the Advanced Opportunities website. Student Fast Foward Guide and login page linked below.
"Students attending public school in Idaho will be eligible for up to $4125.00 to use towards overload courses, dual credits, college credit-bearing examinations and professional certification examinations."
(Idaho Code 33-4602)
Funds can be used towards:
Overload courses - high school credits taken in excess of the full credit load offered by the public high school, up to $225.00 per course. Definitions of full credit load may vary between schools.
Dual/Concurrent credits for a maximum of $75.00 per credit
Examinations - Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, College Level Examination Program, Professional Technical. Funds my not be used to pay for SAT or ACT.
