STUDENT ELIGIBILITY According to 33-523 a STEM Diploma can be awarded to every student who meets the requirements of graduation established by the school and meets the following credit requirements: • Eight (8) credits in mathematics; • Eight (8) credits in science; and • In addition to the credits listed in (a) and (b) above, five (5) credits in the student’s choice of any or all subjects of science, technology, engineering or mathematics. This section does not require a student to complete more than the total credits required to graduate as determined by the state board of education.
