I have been a school counselor since 1998 (!) and have been at Shadow Hills since 2006. Being an elementary school counselor is the best job I can imagine. I teach lessons in all of the classrooms twice a month, following the Boise School District counseling curriculum, which addresses both Idaho state Health Education Standards and ASCA Mindsets and Behaviors. I typically send home a newsletter each semester which outlines what our lessons for the semester will entail, and I'm happy to answer any questions you have about the curriculum.

Additionally, I am available to help students with problem solving and skill building, both individually and in small groups. If your child has a particular need, please reach out to me, but please keep in mind that I am unable to do therapy in a school setting. However, I am happy to provide you with a list of community resources as needed.
