Welcome to the Class!

My name is Pedro Cortabitarte. I am a graduate of the Boise School District. I graduated from Lowell Elementary, North Junior High School, and Boise High School. I have a lifelong love for Social Studies and graduated from Boise State University. I have also earned my Masters in Educational Leadership while attending Boise State University.

I teach AVID and World Studies 8 at Les Bois Junior High School. AVID prepares students to become college ready and to thrive in a global society. World Studies 8 starts in Ancient Greece and ends during the Cold War. Both classes contain so much great information that I can guarantee you will find something that you want to learn about.

I am a veteran of the Boise School District and I am very excited to share my love of learning with a new generation every school year. I am ready and willing to incorporate new curriculum and new technologies into an ever changing educational environment.

Besides teaching, I love sports, football, soccer, basketball etc. I coach football and track and love the outdoors. I have a wonderful wife and a handsome baby boy. I also have a great australian shepard.
