Grading

Semesters are broken up into Learning Intentions

        • Unit: Lab Tools, Safety, & Measurements 

        • Unit: Describing Motion

        • Unit: Forces

        • Unit: Energy Impact on Matter 

        • Unit: Properties and Types of Waves 

        • Unit: Electricity and Magnetism

      • Semester 2:

        • Unit: Atomic Structure

        • Unit: Periodic Table

        • Unit: Chemical Bonding

        • Unit: Properties of Matter and Reactions

        • Unit: Law of Conservation of Mass

• Practice/completing the notebook will not be calculated towards your quarter grade/semester grade but will help prepare students for success on assessments and projects. 

Unit tests are comprised of sections. 

• • Each section will have a level 2, level 3, and level 4 question. 

  • Each section will be put in the grade book separately. 

    • Example: Unit 1 Part 1 test has 3 sections. 

      • Section 1: Tools in Science

      • Section 2: Lab Safety

      • Section 3: Measurement in Lab
