Welcome back!!
Locks and Lockers will be issued the first week of school.
Students will be requires to dress down each class period. Dressing down is a Change of clothes (clothes not worn to school). Appropriate T-shirt, athletic shorts and appropriate gym shoes. The Les Bois PE uniform is not a requirement but they are available to purchase. This is a factor that has an impact on your grade!! Bring school issued Chromebook to class each class period.
Message from the Boise School District
“Any student who has a need or desire for increased privacy, regardless of the underlying reason, will be provided with a reasonable alternative through the counselor, nurse or another trusted adult. Any alternative arrangements will be provided in a way that protects the student’s privacy and safety for all students.”
Daily
Each student starts the semester with a 100% daily grade. It is your responsibility to keep that percentage. Each time you fail to meet daily requirements (on time, dressed down, participate with sportsmanship and an honest effort) your grade will drop 5 points.
Workout
Each student starts each quarter with a 95% Workout grade. It is your responsibility to keep that percentage. These grades can go up with exceptional work ethic and perfect technique on shown lifts and exercises. For each in class workout missed, your grade will be dropped 10 points. These can be made up easily by doing a Missed Workout Makeup. This is an out of class makeup. The makeup sheet can be found on this website (below) and in the Google classroom. Make sure to follow all the directions and guidelines for missing workouts makeups.
Written
Students will have opportunities to show knowledge of concepts covered in class via written tests and reflections.
Fitness Testing
Students will participate in at least three fitness test cycles during each semester. Keeping an up to date Fitness Test Sheet with appropriate goals is an expectation. Student's grade will come from HOW the test was done far more than the actual test scores. In other words, your graded on effort and technique more than ability to score well on fitness tests.
Skill
Students will be taught and shown proper technique on many aspects of movement. Grades will be earned by demonstrating ability to show proper techniques of lifts, exercises and activity skills.
Meets, Assignments , Calendars , Support and Information will be posted on My Google Classrooms
