Capital Singers
Capital Singers is Capital High School’s auditioned Vocal Jazz choir. This choir is known for encouraging students to develop their musicianship in both solo and group settings. Dating back to the early days of Capital High School, Singers has been an ensemble that strives for musical excellence with an emphasis on vocal technique in different jazz styles.
It still upholds that tradition while placing high value on precision, collaboration, and leadership- all while having a great time doing so. These talented musicians put in many hours both in and outside of the classroom to learn their music. We have the opportunity to share our music many times throughout the year whether that be at concerts, elementary and Jr. high schools, or traveling to other locations in the Treasure Valley. The songs we learn throughout the year eventually culminate into Singers Show; a concert at the end of the year that shows off the hard work and dedication of the students and the skills that they developed during the year.
