Coaches

Head Coach Amie Escalante currently serves students as the Physical Education Specialist at Grace Jordan Elementary School in the Boise School District. This will be her second year with the Borah Swim Team. Previously, she worked as the Assistant Swim Coach for a swim team in California for four years. She also taught swim lessons for the past thirteen years working with a wide range of ability levels. Amie has also has six years experience coaching junior high volleyball, cross-country, girls basketball, softball, and three years of track & field. In addition, Amie has six years of teaching experience in California (2010-2016). During the 2013-2014 school year, Ms. Escalante was awarded Teacher of the Year.

Ms. Escalante has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from Dickinson State University (Dickinson, ND), also a Master of Arts Degree in Kinesiology from Fresno Pacific University (Fresno, CA).
