As a School Social Worker with the Boise School District, I am available to assist students and families with addressing concerns that might be complicated, overwhelming, and stressful. My hope is that students can attend each day healthy and ready to focus on play, learning, and relationship building.

Some of the ways I most often support students and families are:

• meeting with parents to address financial emergencies

• guiding parents to food, clothing, child care, and other basic need resources

• making plans for transportation when a family experiences homelessness

• holding small groups for students who are working toward developing a needed social or coping skill

• planning for safety when a parent or child feels unsafe in their home environment

Conversations with social workers are private and will not be shared with your child's classroom teacher without your consent.
