Suicide Prevention and Intervention

Now, more than ever, as a community we need to be aware of mental health issues.  Fortunately as a district, Boise Schools are committed to supporting student, staff, and family mental health.  

One of our focal points is the incredibly sensitive topic of suicide.  Sadly, too many of us as community members have been touched by suicide in some way through the course of our lives.  The Boise School District has created links and resources around suicide prevention and intervention.  Below is the link to the district's website for you to reference as needed.  ALWAYS feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions and/or concerns regarding suicide.  Too often people believe that suicide is too taboo or private to talk about openly, which can often times make an at-risk situation even worse.
