Purchasing a Chromebook

Bay of Islands College works alongside the Kaikohekohe Education Trust so whanau can purchase chromebooks through our Kura.

The bundle is $520. There are various payment options.

THE PURCHASE COMPRISES A ‘BUNDLE’ THAT INCLUDES:

Acer 734C Chromebook with 3-Year manufacturer's warranty
Targus hard shell carry case with charger pocket (6 year warranty)
3-year Manaiakalani Device Care Plan with nil claims excess

Paperwork must be filled and returned before a Chromebook is ordered. If we have stock in-school, we will need to see that the deposit has been paid and the AP has started (if paying device off) before the student is handed the chromebook. If paid in full, your child will recieved their chromebook as soon as they can.

If you choose to pay in full $520 this can be done online to the bank account below or at the front office.

You will also need to return the Purchase Order form via email to cma@boic.school.nz or to the front office.

Paying it off:

There are options to pay off the chrombook (see below).

Both the Purchase Order and the Credit Sale Contract must be signed and returned via email to cma@boic.school.nz or to the front office.

We will need to see that the deposit has been paid and the AP has started (if paying device off) before the student is handed the chromebook.

Bringing in your own Chromebook

If you already have a chromebook from your previous school or a chromebook that you have at home, you are more than welcome to bring that into Kura and use it.

The device however, will need to be factory reset and our School system be uploaded to the chromebook. This will ensure that your child is working on the same system as everyone else and all School programmes are ready and available. This can be done by our Chromebook Coordinator in-school.

You are also more than welcome to buy a device from an outside provider e.g. Noel Leemings, The Warehouse ect. But again, they will also need to be reimaged to our school system.
