Now that you have identified the requirements for your design, it is time to start designing your product. This is where you will use the information you have gathered in step one and step two to create a design that you will manufacture later on.
Ideally you will create more than one design, and the customer will decide which one to develop further. However, in this case one design in enough as you are the customer as well.
You have many different options on how to design your product. You can :
Create a design on Google Draw (Tutorials) (EASY)
Create a design on SketchUp (Online Link) (DIFFICULT)
Create a design by finding images online of a similar product, but listing the differences between it and your design.
Sometimes at this step you will change your mind on what your design will be, but I encourage you not to as you will have to redo step one and step two if you do.
Rather than changing your design completely just modify some of the design requirements in step two.
Now that you have looked at the third step in the design process, do the following.
Create a design that will meet your requirements with Google Draw
OR
Create a design that will meet your requirements with SketchUp
OR
Find a design online of an existing product that will almost meet all your design requirements (Remember to list the ways that it does not meet your design requirements)
Once you have a design, open your design document and insert your design into it.
