Now that you have decided on a design and looked at the factors that influence your design it is time to list your design requirements. For example, if you where going to design shoes then what requirements must they have? Do they need to be water proof? Do they need to have good grip?
Normally a customer will tell you the design requirements, but in this case you are the customer as well.
As the customer, you need to :
Identify the working conditions for the design
Identify the aesthetics for the design
Identify the target audience for the design
Identify the end result for the design
Now that you have looked at the second step in the design process, do the following.
Open up your design document.
Identify who will be using your design and list how this will influence your design.
Identify what conditions your design will have to operate in and list how this will influence your design.
Identify what, if any, aesthetics your design will need.
Identify the end result for your design. Is it a one off use product, or will it be reusable?
