Sheet metal is a metal that has been rolled by a huge industrial roller to be thin and flexible. The thickness can range from as thin as 0.1mm to 2mm. It is manufactured in huge rolls and then cut down to individual sheets. It can be made from steel, aluminium, copper and many other metals.
Aprons is a good way to keep our clothes safe while working with sheet metal.
It also allows you to hold the sheet metal against your body while working with it.
Leather gloves is a good way to protect your hands if you are working with small, intricate, sharp pieces of sheet metal.
Even a basic pair of school shoes are a must when working with sheet metal. The small sharp burrs that are left on the ground after cutting sheet metal will puncture your feet if you don't protect them.
Sheet metal by nature will leave sharp edges when you are working with it. This will result in a high possibility of you cutting yourself or damaging your clothes.

Scriber - used for marking sheet metal.
Steel Rule - Used for marking and measuring
Tin Snips - Used for cutting sheet metal designs
Steel File - Used for removing sharp edges and burrs.
Press Brake - Used for folding sheet metal on a line.
Bench Shears - Used for cutting sheet metal. Like tin snips but bigger and has a longer cut.
