First Day

What will it look like for my child on their first day in secondary school?

All students in Year 7 have a special start on their first day at Bohunt School Worthing in September. The rest of the school returns a day or two later allowing year 7 the time to settle in, meet their tutors, experience what the school lessons are like and most importantly undertake the first stage of their induction into our school. We can this the expedition! 

Over the year, students will complete their initial expedition, (a day's activities which will induct them into our school)—followed by our 'BIG DAY OUT', later in the term, (a full day of outdoor activities, team building and life skills) followed by the 'BIG SLEEPOVER', (a night under canvas with their house, and an opportunity to put their outdoor skills to the test). Culminating in the year's final event, the University of Gamechangers graduation ceremony.  At Bohunt School Worthing, we believe that our students' induction is not a one-off event or day, we support and motivate our student's academic ambition throughout a programme of induction which last the whole year.
