Wealthy Albert Kronkosky purchased 27 acres on a hilltop overlooking Boerne in 1911. He built his estate with two mansions; the Kronkosky Tower with its pagoda looking roof, a dance hall, pools, fountains, and gardens. He invited many citizens of Boerne to enjoy evenings of entertainment at his estate. At one time there was a bridge that connected the two ends of the estate. The entire view of Boerne could be seen from the top of the bridge. The Kronkosky family donated the estate to the Order of the Benedictine Nuns in 1960.
