Here are some of the most common addition strategies:
Compensating: Changing a number to make it more friendly and compensating afterward
Give + Take: Taking from one number to make it friendly and adding to another at the same time to compensate
Decomposing: Breaking numbers apart and adding them in chunks
Partial Sums or Place Value: Adding numbers with the same place value and then adding the sums
