Workshop - The truth about Nutella

Thanks to a "treasure hunt" game, the pupils discovered the reality of Nutella : children working and underpaid to harvest hazelnuts, poor nutritional quality, deforestation to grow palm oil ...
They worked had in international teams. In the end, they won all the ingredients to prepare their own chocolate spread !

Each team received a first enveloppe.
First step : get out of the maze. Each team had to get out of a maze. To get out of the maze you had to go throught the countries where Nutella is produced.

Second step : translate the hidden message when knowing which dictionnary to choose.

Third step : find a croswwords in on of the school tree and solve the crosswords to get a code.

Each team received a second enveloppe.
Solve the three puzzles in the second enveloppe to get the final message.

When solving all the riddles, receive the recipe and ingredients for home made chocolate spread !

Ingredients

30 g hazelnuts

90 g black chocolate

200 g praline chocolate

400 g sweetened condensed milk

Steps

· Put 30 g halzenuts in the robot. Mix 20 seconds – speed 10

· Add 90 g black chocolate cut into pieces

· Add 200 g praline chocolate cut into pieces

· Add 400 g sweetened condensed milk

· Cook 4 minutes – 60°C – speed 0.5

· Cook 2 minutes – 60°C – speed 2

· Put in a jar
