Important Notes to Hit the Ground Running!
Get a physical!
Turn in all the paperwork before you leave for summer break, or at your first practice. Fill out Final Forms!
WEAR GOOD/NEW SHOES!!! Old shoes-more than 3-5 months for a serious runner are the leading cause of shin splints and lower leg cumulative stress injury.
Start running! Follow summer workouts on your own!
Bring drinks to every practice!
Hydrate before meets and practice!
Eat healthy foods!
Keep running--the time you put in during the summer will prepare you for the season!
Cheer on your teammates!
Focus on achieving personal best times at the meets!
