Payment for Services

Both Dr. Nowak and Dr. Rainey accept private pay (“out-of-pocket”) that does not involve insurance or government assistance. When insurance is not involved, the client or, for minors, the client’s primary parent/guardian is responsible for full payment at the end of an assessment series or immediately following each therapy session. Payments are accepted by cash, check, credit card, or Venmo. We can charge credit cards through our practice software system, or clients' parents/guardians can make credit card payments themselves, in the same system.

B 'n G is contracted with the following insurance providers:

• Aetna - now Optum (commercial and Medicaid)

• Anthem BlueCross BlueShield (commercial and Medicaid)

• WellCare of Kentucky

• TriCare East Humana Military (Dr. Nowak only)

• Passport Health Plan by Molina Healthcare (Dr. Rainey only)

We file insurance claims for clients who have one of the listed forms of insurance that covers the service provided. As with private pay, the client (for minors, the client’s parent/guardian) is responsible for any deductible, co-pay, or other amount not covered by insurance, at the end of an assessment series or immediately following each therapy session. Parents may not pay in advance of services; we cannot accept payment for services we have not provided. We understand the financial demands on families, and we try to work with the parents/guardians of established clients to establish payment plans if they encounter unexpectedly hard times.

We ask our families to understand that there are many expenses incumbent to offering psychological services to children and youth. We manage all aspects of this small business ourselves, and timely payments are expected.
