Goal Setting
Wed. 9/16 at 7pm
You have things in mind that you want to accomplish...but how can you make them come to life? This goal setting workshop is designed to offer practical guidance on how you can create effective, actionable plans to achieve your academic goals.
Study Smarter
Tues. 9/22 AND Mon. 10/12 at 7pm
This Study Smarter workshop introduces research-based learning techniques grounded in metacognition, helping you better understand how you learn. Many students use study strategies that don’t work very well, but these strategies align with how your brain processes and retains information, making your study time more effective.
How to Build Your Dream Team
Thurs. 10/1 at 7pm
When you are making strides towards your goals, it makes a big difference to have people by your side to support you. Learn about what it means to have support from the people you surround yourself with and how to make that positive impact on others.
Improving Concentration
Wed. 10/7 at 7pm
Maintaining your focus during a lecture, while completing assignments, or reading can be challenging sometimes, but we have plenty of techniques to help you stay on track!
Writing a Research Paper
Thurs. 10/22 at 7pm
Many college courses will require you to come up with a thesis, examine credible sources, and write a research paper - without plagiarizing, of course. This makes learning how to write academically and how to cite sources properly very important… and we can help with that!
Active Reading
Tues. 10/27 at 7pm
Do you ever read through a passage only to remember nothing about it right after you’re finished? Learn how to actively and critically engage with what you read, including your own notes from class, through this Active Reading Workshop.
Finals Prep
Tues. 11/3 at 7pm
Want to feel confident going into your final exams? Learn effective study strategies, time management techniques, and test-taking approaches in this Finals Prep workshop.
Maintaining Motivation
Wed. 11/11 at 7pm
Boost your motivation and achieve your goals. This workshop will help you identify what motivates you and develop strategies to move forward when you're feeling stuck.
