WHY CHOOSE VIRTUAL ACADEMY OVER OTHER CYBER CHARTER SCHOOLS?

Ask our families:

" My homeroom teacher is very helpful and kind. He's always eager to help and is energetic... He is clear with everything he says. He makes homeroom fun."

" The program is great and very convenient. I was able to create a schedule that helped me to balance school and work.

" Our son appreciates the flexibility of the program. He enjoys the ability to do his work on his own schedule and to make appointments with his teachers when he needs help. He has had great success!"

“I enjoyed how [Blue Mountain Virtual Academy] was connected to my high school so I could still participate in Blue Mountain's activities and feel included...It [provides] more freedom.”

“I have a lot of positive experiences. I got to work an internship during this school year, train and get ready for my college career. I got to determine my own schedule, I was never surprised with last minute assignments...my entire week was always planned in front of me.”

DO YOU PAY TAXES IN THE BLUE MOUNTAIN SCHOOL DISTRICT?

A FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE DECISION:

As a Blue Mountain School District resident, the decision to enroll your student in Blue Mountain's Virtual Academy Program vs. another Cyber Charter school directly affects YOU! Cyber charter schools advertise that their school is a "tuition free option." It really is NOT! Your home school district has to pay tuition for your student to attend a cyber charter school. The Blue Mountain School District pays $12,826.73 per year for ONE regular education student to attend a cyber charter school. The district pays $30,651.14 per year for ONE student who receives special education services to attend a cyber charter school. This ultimately affects the budget and could result in increasing property taxes.
