Rachel Owen is a sophomore at BVW with a passion for photography. She is also a member of the school's band, theater, color and winter guard, and ASL club. She believes that photography is a unique way of capturing and preserving memories, and she loves to use her camera to document the world around her. She hopes that other people can look at these pictures and realize that even the little things matter. Or perhaps they could realize that memories need to be remembered, with a picture, so the memory lives on forever.
A picture of packed boxes and bags sitting in a garage waiting to be moved to a new house not far away. After living in one house sense around 4 all the way to 15, Rachel moved to a new house with her family.
The piano, a musical instrument that has been played for many years. Rachel started playing piano in 4th grade and hasn't stopped playing since.
Nature is something Rachel will always love. She enjoys laying in the grass in her grandparent's backyard and listening to the running water of the ponds and the chirping of birds in her ears.
This burned picture is of the same flower in the Nature picture, but this alternate process fascinates Rachel and she hopes she can do it more, because of the amount of fun it is.
Pictures of lights on the back porch of Rachel's new house that shines bright at night when on.
A picture of Rachel's younger brother swinging on the swingset in the backyard.
