Is homework fun? No, not usually. But homework can be useful and important!

Homework gives me insight into how your student is doing independently. It helps me notice common misconceptions or items that I need to reteach. Specifically, the writing homework gives me a chance to do individual conferences with students and give immediate feedback on how to improve.  ELA homework is meant to give students a chance to practice skills we have learned and to gain confidence in themselves. Reviewing graded work as a class gives students a chance to see their mistakes and learn from them!

Homework is an important tool for me as a teacher!  Please encourage your student to finish their assignments on time and to the best of their ability! 💚
