I had the honor of being the Mix 94.5 Teacher of the Month for April of 2024 as well as the Farmer City Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year for 2024!
I LOVE teaching, and I really believe it's my calling. I fell into a love for teaching while directing community theatre during college. I decided to stay at Eureka College for an extra year so I could pursue a third major: elementary education! I graduated in December of 2007 with three majors: writing, theatre, and education. I completed my Masters in Education (with a focus on curriculum and methods) in 2015.
My family lives in Farmer City. We have a giant Irish wolfhound named Griswold, a fat little German shepherd named Kahlua, and three cats (Fin, Bubba, and Clark). I love Mexican food, ice cream, and hot weather. Some day I will live at the beach, but until then I will continue to be a Caribbean soul stuck in a Midwestern world. 🏝️
A picture is worth a thousand words!
Here are some images and quotes that reflect me, my likes, my beliefs, and my inspirations.
I'm a Chicago Cubs fan, born and raised.
