Leslie Hieronymus, School Counselor

I believe that every kid who walks these halls is the "good kid." All kids have the answers to their questions inside of them, but sometimes need some help shining the light on those answers. I try to model being a lifelong learner, encouraging curiosity and resilience in this imperfect world that throws curve balls at us all the time.

Every district on planet earth has questions and problems, and I believe that I work with a wonderful group of problem-solvers (board, admin, and staff alike) who keep our kids at the center and are always looking for better solutions to our complex challenges.

I am a home-grown, class of 2000 graduate of Blue Ridge. My first year at Blue Ridge was 2006-2007, where I was an English teacher for seven years. I have been a school counselor here since 2013-2014. I am proud to live and work in this community - I secretly love having parent-teacher conferences at Dollar General or Good Spirits!

Cheyenne Clayton, School Counselor

Hello!

My name is Cheyenne Clayton and I am the School Counselor Blue Ridge High School and Schneider Elementary School. At BRHS I focus on helping students with career and college readiness.

I graduated with my Master's Degree in Professional School Counseling from Bradley University in May of 2021. This is my first year working as a School Counselor, I am very thankful I get to learn and grow as a counselor for the Blue Ridge School District!

I provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive space for students to grow socially and emotionally. I believe every student is special, unique, and capable of doing amazing things, I work to help them see that in themselves and their peers! My hope is to make every student feel seen, heard, and understood.

Please reach out if you have any questions!
