This is the first ag class offered at BRHS and is a pre-requisite for all other ag classes at the high school. Students learn about FFA, Soil Science, Parliamentary Procedure, Livestock, & Record Keeping, to name a few topics.
This class is more science-oriented and can be counted as a science credit for graduation. Genetics, Germination, Animal Systems, the Poultry and Livestock Industries, and Vet Science are some major areas of study.
This is a seniors-only class and can be taken in place of Con Ed. Students learn about Business Structures, Ag Sales, Personal Finance, Farm Management, and Life After High School through a variety of hands-on activities.
This is a semester class paired with Ag Mechanics. This combination is offered every other year. Students learn about Natural Resources, Land Use, Types of Energy, Forestry, and Wildlife Management.
This is a semester class paired with Conservation. This combination is offered every other year. Areas of study include Safety, Measurements, Electrical Wiring, Small Engines, Welding, and Surveying.
This is a semester class paired with Horticulture. This combination is what alternates with Conservation and Ag Mech. Leadership Styles, Public Speaking, and Business Meeting & Job Interview Skills are all taught to students through a series of speeches and group activities.
This is a semester class paired with Ag Leadership. This combination is what alternates with Conservation and Ag Mech. Germination, Plant Science, Flower Anatomy, Floral Design, Soil Science, Landscape Design, and Plant/Flower ID are all major areas of study.
This is a quarter class at BRJHS for students interested in ag. Students learn about some basic topics in the ag industry, including What Ag Is, Ag Careers, FFA, Public Speaking, the Livestock Industry, and Horticulture
This year long class focusing on skills in the Veterinary & Vet Tech career path. Students gain a deeper knowledge and hands-on learning in an Animal Science pathway while also exploring FFA opportunities. Students gain a science credit for completing.
This is a class for those who can't fit a regular ag class into their schedule but still need an ag class to be in FFA. Students are in charge of developing their SAE and periodically checking in with Ms. Meisner.
